He claims to have been cooperative with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the past, helping them and answering questions about potential militants in Canada. He claims that he abruptly ended that support when he learned that they were also asking the local communities questions about ''him''.〔 He began distributing leaflets encouraging non-cooperation with Canadian Security Intelligence Service alleging that CSIS intelligence agents had "roughed up" Muslims, following up on an accusation he first mentioned in a meeting between Muslim leaders and Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan in May 2005.〔(Scarborough muslim cleric hate )〕
